I have recently been appointed to the Governing Body and to the post of Chair of Governors.
I am an experienced Governor and my background is in education.
I look forward to working with the staff, parents and children of Uphall School
I lived in Redbridge for many years and recently moved to Essex. I am presently employed by the London Borough of Tower Hamlets in a Senior Management role within Audit.
I joined Uphall School Governing Body as a Local Authority appointed governor, but have recently become appointed under a 3 year term of office as a co-opted governor. I am also the Vice Chair of Governors, the Chair of the Finance and Resources Committee, as well as being the SEN Governor responsible for monitoring this area within the school working together with the SENCo.
My main reason for becoming a school governor was my interest in children’s education and I believe that the experience that I have gained in my working life will be a great asset to the school.
The school community may know me by name and I may well have taught some of your children. I have been a teacher at Uphall Primary School for 10 years and joined the governing body in 2015 My term of office is for 3 years .
I am passionate about the educational standards of children. I feel that a good education is something that no one can take away from you. It gives our children the right skills and confidence to meet life’s challenges. Professionally I have worked in education for 11 years and have been a governor at my son’s school. Joining Uphall Governing Body I feel that I can contribute not only my skills and knowledge but my open mind, and not being afraid to speak out to ensure that views are heard in a fair and constructive environment. I have responsibilities in school for IT and am currently the Phase Leader for Years 1 & 2.
I have worked at the school since September 2010 as a SEN teaching assistant and became a governor in July 2018. As well as sitting on the full governing body, I am also on the TLO and Premises committees and am link governor for training for governors. I am committed to the school and look forward to working with my fellow governors on helping the school move forward, I will do my utmost to ensure that the children obtain the education and opportunities they all deserve and to achieve to their full potential.
I am a Senior Manager within higher education and a local resident to Uphall Primary school. I bring to the Governing Body a wealth of expertise in strategic development, project management, leadership and high level negotiating skills. I have a keen interest in business change management, improving efficiency, strategic communication, risk management and cost cutting strategies.
I hope to bring an informed perspective to the discussions and decisions that we make to help our students perform at their very best, be happy and enjoy learning. Uphall Primary school has great potential. We must ensure we improve standards of achievement across all areas of the curriculum and that mediocrity is not an option.
Hi – I am Nida Sethi and I have been elected as a Parent governor at Uphall Primary school since July 2018. It is an opportunity I am really looking forward to.
I have many interests and my children keep me very busy. I am looking forward to this opportunity to be part of both my children and the school’s vision and ethos. Teaching and Learning is to me one of the most important thing for any child to feel comfortable with and to be able to continue their journey through life feeling empowered by their knowledge.
I am a dedicated and driven parent Governor at Uphall Primary school. I have been working in the education sector with primary and secondary experience for 12 years. Having a teaching career as well as being part of the governing body; I continue to have passion and determination to make a difference.
I received the governors post in July 2018 and am keen to help and support the school with the best interest of the children at heart. As all parents I also feel it’s important that every child at Uphall receives the best education as well as being safe, happy, confident, striving to the best of their ability and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
I aim to contribute to improving the schools capacity to provide a inclusive and rounded education to all of the children at Uphall. As parents we need to support the school through its journey but at the same time challenge where needed.
By being part of the Uphall Governing body I am looking forward to making a difference for the better.
I am proud that my children attend Uphall Primary school and am excited about the prospect of contributing to the school’s continued progress. Our children’s education and overall experience is, I believe, fundamental to their development and I am honoured to join the governing body team that seeks the best for its pupils and staff.
My commitment to the role is unwavering.
